AUSPICIOUS BEGINNINGS

I took the name for this space from Venkatesh Rao’s theory that we construct a beige bubble around ourselves to numb the trauma of constant future-shock. I learned of it from Warren Ellis’ How to See the Future — just like everyone else did. I am stealing from the visual aesthetics of people younger and prettier than I am. I don’t have any idea of who or what I am anymore. I haven’t had time to express a coherent self narrative. I am relatively certain that I can create an identity out from the various scraps of things I have in my head.

This is all going to be rather weird.
