More than ever, the world needs impactful solutions to help protect the environment and assure the sustainability of its natural resources. It is important to design environment-aware solutions for the future. From climate change to heavy energy consumption, from pollution to food waste, there are several issues that require urgent attention.

Today sensors are used across all domains to provide as much information as possible regarding the well-being of our environment. Most of these sensors take into account their data and their location.

👉 Add this data to Mapify and you can build your dream solution in a fraction of the time that it would take traditionally.

Let’s take a look at some of the pro-environment solutions you can build with Mapify.

Air Quality Index in real-time

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is used by government agencies to communicate to the public how polluted the air is, using air quality sensors. Pollution levels can increase due to vehicle traffic, forest fires, and a multitude of reasons. Pollutants tested in these air quality sensors include ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide, among others.

Using Mapify, you can quickly query sensor gateway APIs or handle incoming sensor MQTT messages to generate a no-code web application in a matter of minutes, to provide the public with a visual representation of the current air quality in their city or country.

You can even set up email or SMS alerts for when the air quality level reaches unsafe levels! All this without the need for any code, and using a simple drag-and-drop web-based interface.

Sustainable mobility

Electric vehicles are becoming more mainstream as people look for smart mobility options running on electric energy, in the hopes of reducing air pollution and even noise pollution. From micro-mobility scooters to the family electric car, electric mobility seems to be here to stay.

Regardless of the chosen method for electric transportation, it is paramount for people to quickly understand where is the nearest charging station for their vehicle, as well as its current status of operation and available free slots.

Mapify can quickly set up a scalable solution that can query the charging stations’ gateway APIs or handle incoming smart plug MQTT messages and generate a no-code web application with a global view of the current status and location of charging stations in a matter of minutes.

Consequently, create a workflow to handle incoming requests for the nearest free charging station for a specific type of electrical vehicle/plug. For example, the workflow could return the nearest free five charging stations matching the request.

Mapify Workflows allows you to monitor in real-time any errors and message processing times.

You too can start building your solutions using a no-code approach, drag-and-drop workflows, automatically generating shareable web applications.

Since Mapify is built using an API-first approach, you can still maintain complete control over your processes and keep evolving your solution through the use of our API and SDKs.
