MAPO Ambassador Program Update
As the MAPO Discord server is gradually reaching 2,000 members, we know our MAPO community is growing steadily. Up till now, two MAPO ambassador programs — the community ambassador program and the dev ambassador program — have taken off for a month.
Many of the community members who were not selected for the program or were late for the opening are still asking about possible opportunities to enter the program now. With transparency being our guiding principle for the community, below are the updates for the two ambassador programs.
Ambassador Highlights
🇷🇺 Russian Community Ambassador Роман introducing MAP Protocol on his YouTube channel Roman Crypto
During the onboarding quest, our community member Роман made his contribution by introducing the MAP Protocol on YouTube. In his video, Роман guided his audience through every page on the MAP Protocol website, explaining MAP Protocol token information and onboarding his Russian-speaking community members to MAP Protocol.
🔎 Dev Ambassador Nat made the case for MAP Protocol in his technical analysis article
Piqued by our article about bringing light client cross-chain bridge to NEAR & BNB Chain on The Block, blockchain bridge enthusiast and expert Nat immediately filled out the application form, and then reached out to us on Discord to know more technical details about our omnichain solution. After discussing with our core dev and going through MAPO Docs, Nat made the case for MAP Protocol as the universal layer for cross-chain communication.
🦋 MAPO Community Ambassador Program
The MAPO community ambassador program kicked off on November 10. Within less than a week, over 300 applicants filled out our application form. After a week’s screening and checking, we decided to increase the ambassador slots to 40 on November 23 and finally chose 30 ambassadors from South Africa, Indonesia, the Philippines, Ukraine, Vietnam, the US, and Russia to take on their MAPO journey on November 25.
Three stages of advancement within the ambassador program
- Trial: This is the first step for you to be an ambassador. If you can make consistent contributions to the MAPO community over at least 4 weeks, you may progress to full Ambassador status.
- Ambassador: You will work on the required daily/ weekly tasks as well as the tasks you commit yourself to. You have the freedom to pitch ideas to the team or other Ambassadors. We will back you to run MAPO initiatives. Your goal is to spread the good word as far as possible.
- Lead Ambassador: When an Ambassador has provided significant and consistent value to the MAPO community, the MAPO team may offer advancement to the Lead Ambassador position. Lead Ambassadors take a leadership position, leading the MAPO community in specific regions and taking a higher level of responsibility.
Note: Although all ambassadors are still in their trial period, we have selected 5 ambassadors who were proactively contributing to the community as Lead to help manage the community during this period of time. Non-lead ambassadors during the trial stage are referred to as Apprentice.
🌀 MAPO Dev Ambassador Program
MAPO Dev Ambassador Program was launched a week after the community ambassador program. We set different and higher expectations for Dev ambassadors. To become a MAPO Dev Ambassador, having blockchain-related development experience is a must. That said, it’s no surprise that we’ve only received about 50 applications so far.
The main difference between dev ambassadors and community ambassadors is their responsibility. Although both are about spreading the good word about MAP Protocol as far as possible, dev ambassadors need to do a more in-depth analysis of MAP Protocol’s technical mechanism and grow the MAPO developer community.
