Summons to greatness

I am intrigued by the startup pitches at various events. I am continually awed by the passion of the teams that come and present at these events. The intent of these teams is to solve a problem, ‘change the world’, and pave the way in building a successful company.

The majesty of the moment is awe inspiring for few and incomprehensible for many, as has been the case for many great stories of the past. Every moment in this transcendental journey is fleeting, precious and unique.

But some stand out as moments of a beginning, in which courses are set that shape the years to come, as all the forces that are needed for it, converging to make possible, the hope of the deepest aspirations to be realized.

It calls for a leadership that is willing to challenge notions, shed inhibitions to venture realms beyond comfort, and dissect situations to a meaningful point, so as to discover opportunities and work to solve them.

In doing this, it is important in setting the right pace, to allow ourselves to contemplate and reflect upon, and help advance through the learnings with renewed vigor.

As leaders, we should have a common objective working together as a team, unified in our goals, and dignified in our disparity. This and this alone will serve us well in our summons to greatness..
