Every Marble card has a level between 1–100 that is calculated based on an algorithm called Marble Rank .

Where is the level displayed?
The card level is displayed on the card page. Based on its level, it will also have its generation symbol in one of the different colors.

How to level up a card?
Players get XP for different actions on the Marble.Cards site, such as creating a card or poaching a card. The amount of XP a player has is displayed on the My Collection page. If you own a card, you may use your XP to level up the card on the page for that card . It cost 100 times the level of the card to level it up to the next level.

Example; a card that has level 84 needs 8400 XP to level up to level 85.

When on level 85 the cards needs 8500 XP to level up to next level.

How does a card gets its initial level?
MarbleCards have developed an algorithm called MarbleRank that generates the levels. Marble Rank is calculated from two parts, first from many different parts on how the card/URL preforms on our platform and externally. Second, Marble Rank have parts that are not related to the url, one example is that a small part is chance. The Rank algorithm is continuously developed and changed.

The Marble Rank is used to calculate the Level of the card but there is no fixed formula between Marble Rank and a specific level. Instead the goal is that distribution levels for new card should be close to;

0.5% — Epic, level 85 to 94
6.5% — Rare, level 70 to 84
20% — Uncommon, level 50 to 69
73 %— Common, level 1 to 49

When created, no cards will get Legendary, level 95 to 100. For a card to become Legendary it has to level up. The distribution is not fixed and may vary over time.

So how to master Levels?
For the big picture on what type of cards that get high or low levels, look at the existing cards in the Library. Since the formula is changing over time its more safe to look for patterns in newer rather than old ones. Keep in mind that part of the algorithm is not linked to the URL at all and some of it is chance so it should not be possible to fully understand the formula.

When you find a card you like use your XP to level it up.

Happy Marbling!
