Marble.Cards and Meme.com
Three years ago, we created Marble.Cards to capture a big idea. We wanted to make it possible to curate content online, using crypto and gamification as the engine. Since then, we’ve slowly but surely explored this idea together with our amazing community. Step by step, we’ve built Marble.Cards organically with personal funds and revenue, always iterating and making sure we could stay in the game.
Now all the hard work is paying off. We just closed an investment that will be announced soon and we are ready to level up big time.
Memes all the way down
Those who’ve been following our community know that memes are at the core of the Marble DNA. Card creation started with KnowYourMeme, the first site available for marbling, and memes have remained at the top of the list of what our community curates. We now want to double down on this.
That’s why we are now introducing MEME.COM
Meme.com is the home of meme markets and trend exploration. It’s built as a crypto-economic system that can track the value of memes.
Boosted by the amazing Marble community, we think Meme.com will grow into something extraordinary. The place you go to discover the finest memes and trends. The Majestic Establishment of Memetic Exploration.
Extending Marble Cards
Marble cards will remain an important part of the Meme.com ecosystem. As always, Marble cards are a powerful way to capture the evolution of memes and this will feed into Meme.com. When a meme is born, someone who sees its potential might create the first card to show it off to others. Later, others create cards of the many remixes of the original meme, and so on.
Marble is a gamification and curation layer that can run alongside the meme markets, and we want people to continue enjoying the Marble experience like before. (There are also new Marble features coming soon, like Verified Creators that we are very excited about.)
Meme.com is a new and audacious project that builds upon all the things we’ve learnt from Marble. It adds new ways to play with Marble cards and more, much more.
