[GUIDES] How to Bridge NFT between Klaytn and Aptos using PORTAL

Instructions: To bridge NFT between two chains, you must have 2 separate wallets for Klaytn and Aptos. Inside each wallet there should be a minimum of approximately 0.05 KLAY or 0.01 APT tokens that can be used as gas fees. Note that this process cannot be completed with a MARBLEX Wallet.

⚠ Marblerships that are bridged to Aptos from Klaytn can be returned to the Klaytn chain at any time.

▶ From Klaytn to Aptos

1. Access the bridge site, PORTAL Bridge.
   Click on [Advanced Tools].

2. Select the [NFTs] tab and set Klaytn as the Source chain and click connect. Note that you must connect to a wallet that contains a Marblership.

3. Once connected to your wallet, click on [SELECT A TOKEN].

4. Next, enter the information about the Marblership Collection.
■ Search name or paste address: 0x29c4b12cb6a9565aeffb25739848994cb130c598 (Marblership Collection Address)
■ Token Id: Enter the Token ID for your Marblership

5. Double-check the entered information.
If the information is correct, the pop-up will close and the Marblership information will be displayed automatically. Click [Next].

6. Select Aptos as the Target network and click [CONNECT].

7. Select the Aptos wallet that will receive the Marblership. In this guide, the Pontem Wallet was used. (Install Pontem Wallet)
Otherwise, we recommend using the same wallet that was used in Liquidswap.

8. Once connected to the wallet, check to see if the recipient address is correct and click [NEXT].

9. Time to start the bridging process. Click [TRANSFER] and proceed with the digital signatures. Here, a small portion of KLAY is used as gas fee and this action needs to be performed twice. This process involves the locking of your NFT on the Wormhole Bridge.

• First signature: Approval of user’s NFT on the Wormhole Bridge
• Second signature: Transfer of user’s NFT to the Wormhole Bridge

10. By completing step 9, you can find that your Marblership has been locked up on the Wormhole Bridge. The hash value below corresponds to the TX hash of the lockup. Copy the TX hash onto a notepad for quick recovery in case of any errors during the next steps.

11. Click [REDEEM] to receive the Marblership on the target chain (Aptos).

12. By signing the transaction using Pontem Wallet, the Marblership will be transferred to the Aptos wallet. A small portion of APT tokens are used as gas fee.

13. This screen will confirm the successful NFT bridging process from Klaytn to Aptos.

▶ From Aptos to Klaytn

1. At the [NFTs] tab, select Aptos as the Source chain and connect to the Aptos wallet that holds your Marblership.

2. Press [SELECT A TOKEN] to view and select the Marblership inside the wallet.

3. This should display Marblership details. Click [NEXT].

4. Select Klaytn as the Target chain and connect to the Klaytn wallet that you used for the previous section of the guide. Once connected, the information will be filled in automatically.

5. Click the [TRANSFER] button to proceed with the digital signatures.
This process involves the burning of the Marblership that was transferred to Aptos.

6. Click [REDEEM] to transfer the Marblership back to your Klaytn wallet.

▶ Q&A

Q. The Marblership was transferred out of my Klaytn wallet, but I can’t REDEEM it. Is it possible to repeat the REDEEM process only?

A.
1) It is possible to repeat the REDEEM process using the TX hash that you received after performing the lockup. If you forgot to note down TX hash, search for your wallet address on Klaytnscope to find the transaction for transferNFT in order to view your TX hash as shown below.

2) Next, select [REDEEM] at PORTAL BRIDGE and enter the following information.

• Type: NFT
• Source Chain: Aptos
• Source Tx: TX hash of lockup.

Enter the information above and click [RECOVER] to proceed with the digital signatures.
