The curtain that covered

The window of my heart;

Has been drawn open,

Exposing fears and desires

Hidden in the labyrinth,

The darkness of this man –

Sinew and flesh are no protection

For a heart that was hidden

To avoid the tremors of loves

Lost in the perpetual war of roses,

Fought between lovers;

With switchblade tempers,

dangerous desires; walking

Tight ropes in the clouds.

Afraid to look down because

We might fall to our deaths –

We did look down, we did fall…

In this illusion of love and life

We seemed to die, but did not;

It was merely the requiem

For desires lost.

The Curation

As an unrepentant poet I dig through the bone-pile of words left behind. With good fortune I resurrect them and they ascend for all to see.
