Sometimes you need someone telling you so

Well, sometimes things do arrive at the right time. Exactly at the right time. This is just to say that I stumbled upon a post about writing, exactly when I was in a moment where I was loosing my determination. This post is exactly what I needed to read.

Nobody is making harsh judgements about our return on investment except the imaginary judge we’ve invented for ourselves, and we can kick that person out any time.

Because it’s strange. Very strange. Notwithstanding the simple fact that writings make me feel better, most of the time I feel (sort of) guilty about it.

Why should I write if I can’t sell a book other than to my friends and family?

Such considerations can paralyze anyone. But — problem is-— such consideration cannot help me in any way. They only let my confusion grow. Because if you deeply love writing, if you need to write, surely it’s for a reason. It’s for a task.

You do not need to understand all. Just trust.

Just don’t stop.
