Dear MAPO Community,

We are writing to inform you that the token unlocking schedule for June 2022 and December 2022 has been postponed and updated.

According to the previous schedule, 350,000,000 MAPO tokens were set to be released from the Foundation in June 2022; and an additional 200,000,000 MAPO tokens from the team and 500,000,000 MAPO tokens from the Foundation were set to be released in December 2022.

However, considering the market instability in the latter half of 2022 and the long-term development of the project, the team decided to postpone the unlocking schedule. The release of a total of 1,050,000,000 MAPO has been postponed, and now will be released gradually from March 2023 to September 2024 as follows:

Updated Unlocking Schedule

We understand that this change may cause some inconvenience and we want to assure you that it was not made lightly. After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone and update the unlocking schedule in order to ensure the stability and long-term success of the MAP Protocol.

We also want to emphasize that the MAP Protocol values transparency and the concerns of the community. We are committed to keeping you informed and involved in the decision-making process as we continue to grow and develop.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

About MAP Protocol

MAP Protocol is the interoperable layer for the Bitcoin network, built upon ZK light clients. It serves as the gateway for Bitcoin ecosystem developers and users, offering the only way for different $BTC L2s to become interoperable and keep the Bitcoin ecosystem as a whole. Simultaneously, it enables these $BTC L2s to interact with both EVM & non-EVM ecosystems in a trustless manner.
