Context: Creating Ubeeqo’s platform was part of my role as a Project manager and Full stack software engineer at Inovia, a San Fransisco and Paris based digital agency. For more detailed information, please refer to the agency’s business case.

Ubeeqo is the leading operator of alternative fleet management services in Europe. It optimizes the company car by improving its lifecycle use or replacing it with alternative, customized and economical mobility solutions.

Mission: For Ubeeqo, we needed to deliver a high availability and user-friendly front office and a centralised back office, processing over 1,000 car reservations a day, and interfacing directly with the vehicle’s onboard hardware and navigation system.

Role and responsibilities: As a full-stack software engineer, I took part in designing and creating from inception the first version of the platform. It was also my responsibility to maintain the system and build evolutions based on business needs and user feedback.

Years: From 2009 to 2011

Key metric: 420K+ reservations (as of November 2016)

Stack: Zend Framework 1&2, Gearman, PostgresSQL, webservices, Google maps, High Charts, SOAPS, SIPS, NewRelic, RabbitMQ, Zend Apigility, Microservices, Swift

Since then, Ubeeqo adapted to the continuously evolving urban mobility market expanding from France to UK, Belgium and Germany. They now provide their users with a simple app offering various mobility options including cabs, private hire vehicles, car-sharing and car rentals.

More recently, they introduced Matcha, a premium self-service car offer.
