Best iOS and ANDROID apps that will make you a creative genius.

By Jonathan De Leon

Whether you use social media for personal fun or for business, you’ve likely come across a social media post that was just visually striking, and perhaps it may have inspired you to want to make a similar post. But then you probably come across the problem of trying to figure out exactly how in the world they created their post.

Well to help you look more cool and creative to the people that you know or to the people who follows you, I’ll be sharing with you my top 5 social media apps so you can bring your best visual foot forward. With that said let me share with you what they are..

APP #1: WORDSWAG

AVAILABLE: IOS, ANDROID

If your looking for a really cool Text design generator then WordSwag should be your go to app. As it stands it has over 40 text design style with each consisting of 5 different variations. If none of the 5 variations suit your taste all you need to do is click on the dice icon in the app and it will generate new variations for you. So you literally have an unlimited amount of design style at your disposal.

Another cool feature with this app is your ability to choose a background of your choice. Now it already has a wide selection of backgrounds for you to choose from but if you don’t find one that you like you can use their search option to find the perfect background for your project. AND if you’re not one for having backgrounds, you’ll also have the option of having a transparent background — which I have to say have come in very handy for some of my projects.

APP #2: LEGEND

AVAILABLE: IOS, ANDROID

Legend is a another text design generator much like Word Swag but with a really cool twist. This app allows your text to come alive by means of animation. Right now it has 19 different design styles with 20 different color combination.

It is also a smart app in that it can highlight or create special animations for specific things. For example, if you include in your text a color, or time, or maybe even a #hashtag, it will be smart enough to pick up on this and create a special animation just for it.

Also much like other text design generators you’ll have the ability to choose a background for your animated text. IOS users on the other hand can go beyond just a regular background and use video instead, so your project really comes to life. It a little bit of a bummer that Android doesn’t have this unique little feature but here to hoping that it will get it in the near future.

APP #3: QUIK

AVAILABLE: IOS, ANDROID

Keeping with the design generator theme we have an app called QUIK, formerly known as Replay. As I mentioned earlier QUIK is a design generator, more specifically a video design generator for photos and videos. Currently it has 24 design styles all with the ability to be customized, from background music to video filters, AND if you want you can also choose to add headline text.

So basically you select photos or video clips, or a combination of both to begin a project. Select from the different design style, preview the videos, and then chose the best one you like. If you don’t like how things look you can always customize it.

This app is very easy to use and the end product is nothing but spectacular. So definitely check this app out.

If you’re the type who wants a little more control over your video or photo projects then the next two apps are a definite must have.

APP #4: FILMORAGO

AVAILABLE: I OS, ANDROID

FilmoraGo is a video editing app that lets you create great looking videos for your social media accounts. The app itself is similar to other video editing tools where you get the standard editing tool like trimming your clips, choosing a theme, and adding transitional effects but what makes this app much more special I think than other video editing apps is the vast amount of options when it comes to your filters, overlays, and an option they call elements — so you can really get creative and make your video one of a kind.

Also when it comes to the music selection you have a ton to choose from so you can really create a specific mood or experience around the video that makes it that much more exciting to watch.

Its probably worth mentioning that this app comes from a full featured video editing software called FILMORA in both PC and Mac version. FILMORA is designed for novice video editors but comes packed full of features that rivals that of Adobe Premier AND unlike Adobe Premier it’s much easier to learn and use.

How do I know this? Well because FILMORA is what I use to edit my own YouTube videos. Now I’m no pro video editor or anything but I was able to pick this up rather quickly and easily.

Now what really make this piece of software that much more special and what sold me to use it is the price. For a only $49 I was able get lifetime access to the software with unlimited updates compared to the $250 per year I would have to shell out to use Adobe Premier. So yeah, I’d rather not spend that kind of money when FILMORA can do the exact same thing. Anyways if you’re on the look out for a powerful and easy to use desktop video editing tool, you’ll definitely want to check out FILMORA. Click here to learn more.

Oh and since I love this software so much, and I know you will too, I’ve decided to hold a free giveaway for a one year subscription to the software. So if you’re interested in getting your hands on a really cool and easy to use video editing software then Click Here to go to my YouTube channel and find out how to enter.

Also if you want to learn more about FILMORA you can Click Here to find more information about it and test it out completely free with no feature restrictions.

APP #5: OVER

AVAILABLE: IOS, ANDROID

Alright so our last app in this list is called OVER and I honestly can’t categorize this particular app because there is so much you can do with this one app. On one hand you can call it a photo editing app because you can crop photos, add filters, adjust the photo like its exposure or saturation to name a few, and you can also have blurred effects if you want.

But then you have the design aspect of it where you can add text, artwork, and additional images from the internet if you want. You can call it what you like but there’s absolutely no denying how cool and useful this app is once you use it.

Now I do have to say that while this app is available for both IOS and Android, the IOS version is far superior compared to the Android version. With the IOS version you get three daily artwork that you can claim as your own and use anytime you want for free, plus it has the ability to search for images that you can use for your project within the app through photo sources such as Unsplash and Pixabay. Hopefully the Android version gets the same treatment sometime soon.

So over to you, what’d you think of these apps? Do you know of any other apps that I should know about that maybe should be on this list? If you do, send them over on the comments down below, I’d love to know what they are.
