How to Make Siri Respond 3 Times Faster

Siri is too slow in responding? Here’s what to do
If you have an older model iPhone and upgraded to iOS 10, you may have noticed that at times Siri is slow to respond. You hold down the home button (or say, “Hey, Siri!”) and for a really long time, nothing happens.
There’s an easy fix for this. You may have to do it from time-to-time if Siri slows down again, but Siri becomes so lightning fast (like she used to be when you and her first met) it’s worth the time.
How to get Siri to respond instantly again:
- Go to Settings on your phone.
- Tap on “General” from the main Settings menu.
- Tap on Spotlight Search.
- Under “Spotlight Suggestions” turn off both “Suggestions in Search” and “Suggestions in Look Up” by sliding moving the slider button to the left (so white shows instead of green).

5. Exit Settings.
6. Do a hard-restart of your phone. To do that, hold down the power button and the home button at the same time, until the phone screen goes black. The phone will shut down, and then restart itself.
7. Once the phone has restarted, go to Settings > General > Spotlight Search and turn the two features back on that you turned off in step #4 (by sliding their buttons to the right, so green shows).
That’s it! Now when you hold your home button or say, “Hey, Siri!” (if you have that enabled), Siri should pop up instantly. This also works to speed up Spotlight Searches if those slowed down for you.
