99Originals: The Journey of 99 NFTs
NFT(Non-Fungible Token):
When people hear about NFTs, the first thing that usually comes to mind would probably be blockchain, coins, and mining. It’s all boring and honestly not very appealing to the general public. However, as the NFT market grows, some art pieces had been turned into NFTs. Those NFTs are exquisite, artistic and the story behind them is sometimes breathtakingly beautiful.
Here let me introduce you to a whole new collection of NFTs:
The 99Originals:
The 99Originals are created by Logan Paul who is a social media influencer, a YouTuber, a boxer, and an entrepreneur. In 2015, started off by posting daily vlogs on YouTube, Logan Paul quickly became internet famous because of his edgy but interesting content and his outgoing personality. In 2017, right at his peak on social media platforms, he was criticized by the general public after filming a dead body in Japan’s suicide forest. He then took a break from social media and focused on being a better version of himself. Later in 2018, he re-launched his brand, stayed out of controversies, and became one of the most successful social media influencers ever since.
At this point, I know what you thinking. Enough for the background stories. Here is the real deal.
The 99Originals are 99 polaroid pictures that had been taken from all over the world by Logan Paul himself and later turned into NFTs. Some of the pictures are planned, and some of them are snaped unintentionally. It was a mental and physical challenge for a human to travel 84029 miles and came up with artistic ideas that have meaning behind them. You would probably think a polaroid picture might not be as good as a photo from a professional digital camera. But somehow the pictures came out so beautifully that you can’t help to find out the story behind them.

Here is my favorite piece out of all the releases so far. It is a photo taken from the blue lagoon(a geothermal spa) that is located near Grindavik, Iceland. To me, Iceland is so naturally well-preserved. There are so many natural landscapes that can make you consider Iceland to be a dreamscape place.
Plus, this piece is sold for 37.69 ETH(Ethereum) which is $79304.25 USD.
