A World with Unlimited Possibilities!
New VR building tools “Builder Bot.”
“Let’s go to a park…actually, let’s go to the beach. Now, let’s add an island and some trees over there…”
Can you imagine that only by “saying” these sentences, the scenes and objects will pop up in front of you? Meta launched a short video introducing its new VR tool, “Builder Bot,” the other day. Let’s take a look at how it works!
Isn’t it amazing? Used in Metaverse, Builder Bot can help users create their new world much easier by giving it the instruction. Initially, it isn’t a simple thing to create objects in VR since you need to know about 3D modeling and some design knowledge, but now with Builder Bot, you can build your environment by merely speaking.
But, what’s Metaverse?
Metaverse is defined as “the virtual world that will usher in the next phase of the internet.” Metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds where you can create a digital version of yourself, avatars, to do nearly everything in it. For example, in Meta’s Horizon World, you can hang out with friends, have a meeting, learn new skills, play games, and shopping, etc.
It’s like living in a parallel world. You can go to the park and meet new people, hang out with friends at bars and even order a cocktail, have a conference with your colleagues, exercise with a coach, and even meditate. It’s super cool, right? Although Metaverse hasn’t been used broadly, people are excited and looking forward to its future.
Metaverse Marketing?
So, what can Metaverse do for marketing? Since I believe that Metaverse will be broadly used in the future, there must be a lot of opportunities for marketers to be creative in the virtual world. In other words, if marketers want to target the millennials and Gen Zers, which would be the primary consumers in the future, it’s essential to understand Metaverse’s potential value and learn how to use it.
Since the main feature of Metaverse is that users can have an immersive experience in the virtual world, marketers can take advantage of this by offering users to see and feel the messages that brands want to convey. Moreover, it’s also a good idea to make the advertisement interactive and engaged so that users can have fun, just like playing a game, and finally, get interested in the product. Or it can just be virtual billboards like those placed in the real world.
It’s really excited that now we’re in the early stage of Metaverse, and there’s still a lot for us marketers to explore, try on, and innovate.
Why I’m in love with it.
To be honest, before I saw the “Builder Bot” video Meta launched, I wasn’t familiar with the Metaverse, although I’ve heard people talking about it a lot lately. So my first thought after the video is, “Wow! That’s so cool! I want to try it, and what exactly Metaverse is?” It really catches my eye because I feel like the Builder Bot is a breakthrough tool that helps users create the world they want quickly, and it seems like there are no restrictions. It feels likes living in a world of unlimited possibilities. So I love it!
Besides, for the Metaverse, I saw opportunities in the future for marketers and businesses. It’s just like decades ago when people first learned about the internet, and the Metaverse represents the future. With all the possibilities, people can build and affect the trends together, and it’s exciting and lucky to have a chance to join this generational change. I’m ready and excited to learn more about it!
