Augmented Reality brings convenience for shoe lovers

In my impression of UGG is a brand that sells boots, in fact, UGG also sells all types of shoes including sneakers. And as a well-known brand in the field of sneakers, adidas has been ahead of other footwear brands in the direction of digital marketing.

Complex Networks is an American youth culture media and entertainment company based in New York City. complex Networks covers popular and emerging trends in fashion, sneakers, food, music, sports and pop culture. In 2016, Complex Networks established a new program called Complexcon, an annual festival in the form of themed exhibitions, concerts, discussion panels, streetwear culture, and content related to pop culture and mass audience entertainment.At the Complexcon event, adidas launched Augmented Reality.

How they use?

In this activity, there are many trendy brands will release their limited products here, and adidas is one of them. They’ve taken the Augmented Reality approach to sales. Those attending the activity will need to download the ComplexCon app for iOS and Android and enable push notifications. The app will send a message about “Unlock the Drop”, which will be located at various beacons set up around the venue.

Consumers can align their smartphones with the AR-driven logo, then follow the instructions to select a size and complete the checkout process. The final step is for people to head to a designated locker at ComplexCon, the entire process without interacting with any Adidas employees.

The use of Augmented Reality has shortened a sneaker transaction that would have taken over two hours to just a few minutes. For consumers, they no longer need to wait in line for a long time to buy the limited sneakers they want to buy very easily. I think this campaign is just an experiment. I think this trend will spread in the future. I believe that by downloading the app you can save two hours and get the shoes quickly, and I believe that all consumers will want to choose this way.
