Have you heard about Popcorners before this advertisement?

Probably not!

Popcorners is a brand of popped corn chips with various flavors such as white cheddar, sea salt, kettle corn, spicy queso, and sweet chili. They are made from non-GMO corn and are gluten-free, kosher, and vegan. The chips are air-popped instead of fried, making them healthier than traditional potato chips.

Have you heard about Breaking Bad?

Of course! Breaking Bad is considered one of the most significant television episodes, with many awards and nominations. After the final season, audiences are always looking forward to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman’s reunions. Here it comes!

Collaborating with the Breaking Bad franchise, PopCorners has increased brand awareness immediately, achieving its marketing goal. In the video, Walter White introduced features of PopCorners, reminding me that he was teaching “his product” in the first season. The scene exactly resembles the Breaking Bad franchise, which resonates with Breaking Bad fans. The collaboration between the Breaking Bad franchise and PopCorners quickly combines two groups of fans.

The short episode introduced key healthy features of PopCorners and six different flavors. It is a direct call to action! Their target audience is Breaking Bad fans. The video evokes and resonate with fans’ emotion. The signature RV also reminds people of their memories of the Breaking Bad franchise.

Fans can not try Walter White’s products in the original episodes, but they can try this invention!

Besides, the campaign’s name, “Break into Something Good,” is similar to Breaking Bad, and the name also indicates the health benefits of PopCorners.

It was the first time that PopCorners went to the Super Bowl stage. “Breaking Good” was shown during Super Bowl LVII in the first commercial break of the third quarter. PopCorners released images and two video teasers(1 and 2) before the final release and released an extended version of the ad online (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube).

It went viral online. On Youtube and Twitter, there are both have over five million views. It was beyond good as a brand that went on the Super Bowl stage!

When I read the comments below the Youtube clip, I saw a lot of comments from Breaking Bad fans who had never heard about the brand but wanted to try after seeing Mr. White and Mr. Pinkman~ I believe that PopCorners has achieved their goal — raising brand awareness.

Breaking Bad may not be returned to television. Good memories of watching Breaking Bad and eating PopCorners will always be there!

Breaking into something Good!
