Everyone has heard big data, however it is hard for us to explain big data in few words. Why? Big data contains in multi industries such as marketing, hospitality, governments, medial and marketing. Big data is everywhere now, but too many people don’t really understand what big data is and what it can do. Even a lot of companies are holding a lot of big data, but they don’t know how to apply it. So let’s see what big data has to do with our lives.

Big Data refers to the huge data group collected from many different sources in a multi-dimensional form. Especially the B2B module, the data may comes from social networks, e-commerce websites, customer visit records, and many other sources. If you compare data to coal mines that contain energy. According to the nature of coal, there are coking coal, anthracite, fat coal, lean coal and so on, and different mining costs are poles apart. Similarly, big data is not “big”, but “useful”. Value content and mining cost are more important than quantity.

As a marketer, we have the responsibility to protect our users information and privacy.

However, the data through the Internet is hard to distinguish whether it is true or fake. There are fake data in all places,and most of them are intentional. The Internet is creating big data, but in fact, there are a lot of junk data, or even dirty data created to influence people’s decision-making. As a marketer, it is especially important to distinguish the fake data, and try to protect the data environment, creating a reasonable marketing plan to protect the benefits of users and the long-term value of the company.

In the future, big data should be everywhere. I believe that as long as the pace of development continues, the changes caused by big data will drown every corner of the earth.
