United Airlines updated its mobile app and launched a new section called “Game Center.” In addition, the game center includes two available games, and two are coming soon. The most engaged one is Flight Simulator. When I use my United Airlines app, I find that this flight simulator offers Autoland Demo, a tutorial that performs approach and landing. United’s mobile flight simulator allows passengers to pilot a Boeing 787 aircraft, and it will also have different levels to challenge your skills.

Above it presents a new flight simulator from United APP. The design of the product adds value to the game. The developers took flight data and situations in real life. They used the best imitation methods to incorporate them into the game so that players could have a good simulation experience.

Using Gaming Trend To Achieve Marketing Objectives

I think it helps achieve their marketing objectives. United Airlines is a very mature company. In my previous blog, I mentioned that United launched a new digital video and used stories to attract people’s emotions, which can also increase customer engagement. Game Center in the United Airlines mobile app stands out from other competitors. It’s a way to recall customer attention and deliver something new to users.

Although it operates through mobile phones, users interested in it can also have a new experience and learn. I also think the game will appeal to different groups of consumers. Every customer and user gets a chance and interest to play the game. Moreover, United Airlines effectively offer the Flight Simulator for those looking to kill time before or on a flight.

I would say the airlines using gaming trends won’t fade. The game center and the flight simulator are innovative services and technology. More and more airlines company will need to launch new services as United did. Some will imitate the idea of offering the same flight simulator on apps.

According to the data from CISION, the United app is already the top download airline app for Apple and Android mobiles. It’s up to 2.5 million users interacting with the app daily. Therefore, the data proved the demand for airline mobile apps keeps higher. Customer needs it to plan their trips or enjoy their vocation. United Airlines offers new gaming ideas inside the mobile app earlier than other airline brands; it might help it become a leading brand in this area.

Overall, United Airlines brings a creative idea to customers. Having a game center and adding a flight simulator are fun offerings the company wants to provide new a service for us. It is not only an app for booking flights, but also can be an app for entertaining.
