Due to the current times, the pandemic has taken a toll on most economies across the world, and uncertainty has risen among many corporates and marketers have not been left behind. So, what is digital marketing and what are the strategies that are used in ensuring full optimality by marketers? Digital marketing is marketing that optimizes the interest of the available technologies and media to promote sale of products. Strategies on the other hand are the plans and made by marketers to achieve this goal. Below are some of the important key things one has to consider before creating a strategy in this crisis.

Keeping business plans short-termed- due to the uncertainties in the market right now, the traditional marketing plan to make strategies that last for a period of three to four years has to be scraped off. Marketers have to make tactical and very detailed plans that have to be implemented over a short period of time and have great flexibility in case of deteriorating economic conditions. Increasing traffic on social media sites is an example of a short-term strategy.

Picking the right networks and schedules- social media is a very crucial platform for most marketers. Therefore, as most businesses have gone digital, most of their customers are online on mobile platforms. Utilizing this opportunity is crucial if you want to create traffic and attract more customers. identifying your target market on one platform and creating traffic on that specific shoots a long way in achieving your goals. This is mainly in the field of luxury brands and its marketing. Self-indulgence is very related to socially directed motives(Chevalier, and Mazzalovo, 2012)

Meeting customers’ expectations- the most essential part of marketing is identifying the customer needs and being able to meet them. With all the different tasks, it being automaton or analytics from the web, one has to fully understand these features if you are to deliver the best strategy. Understanding the components of these features enables a better working system for the marketer thus full productivity. Analyzing the customers’ needs and being able to provide the needs at the right conditions creates traffic on your media sites. While creating this strategy, ensure the costs and expenditures are worth it.

Easy integration- for one to achieve a well personalized and good profile, integrating the marketing tools together has to be done. Cloud-based services, for example, one has understood the data schemes and connecters' costs for the integration costs. Before developing a marketing strategy, one has to make sure the efforts are integrated and synchronized and must know how to use the tool itself.

Cost is a matter that has to be considered in every situation and digital marketing makes no exception. Digital marketing incurs high costs that some low-cost firms may choose to avoid altogether. But they can decide to try out the low-cost strategies that include; hiring bloggers, social media marketing or even creating videos using desktops and webcams. But is a company being of high-cost budgeting, they may consider certain options such as Ad campaigns, microsites and even pay per click pop-up Ads.

Last but lot least, considering the technology available is the wisest thing a marketer can do. It being from the servers to default browsers, the technology has to be of date to avoid slow net. The success of digital marketing majorly depends on the technology available. If problems keep on recurring, probability of them using digital strategies is low in promoting their products.
