Before Tambour was announced, Louis Vuitton had already made a big move in the high-end watch catalog, and they had told the high watchmaking services that target the millionaire or watch collector purchase, with the price range from $ 440,000 to 1,000,000. This move helped LVMH get its ticket in the watch industry. Then they announced the Tambour services that sell for $ 18,500. LVMH expects to see a boost in sales in this catalog. After all this information about the product, I would like to discuss an ad LVMH made for Tambour that caught my eye and made me want to spend $ 18,500 to buy an “LV” watch instead of a Rolex.

The advertisement was playing on social media like Instagram and YouTube. The first time I saw the ad was on YouTube, and it immediately caught my eye; it used Bradley Cooper, a famous actor who won nine times of Academy Awards nominee, to become the first ever watch ambassador of Louis Vuitton. His reputation and the excellent content of the story they provide drag me into it. The ad shows how a timepiece can do more than remind you of time; it can also help you remember a significant moment of your life. In addition, the ad also shows the excellence of the product and feature, like the first proprietary automatic three-hand movement designed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, fine material and polish plus the fashion sign lead by Louis Vuitton can be an additional sales point of this product, which can help the product gain more attention in the market.

This advertisement provides me with a point of view of how a big company will take advantage of its resources to help them promote a new product and how to use social media’s power to get Gen Z’s attention. And the company knows that Gen Z will become the next main buying power of the world; with the raise of social media, digital marketing has become the most powerful marketing tool of any the marketing activities.
