HappyDad: Product from Social Media Influencers

HappyDad:

A hard-seltzer brand created by NELK(Social media influencers group and an entertainment company) represents its spirit and passion for alcoholic drinks or more specifically hard-seltzer.

First, let me introduce the NELK boys.

Nelk is an entertainment company which is created in 2010. At the start, in order to gain traction and popularity, they were doing mostly prank videos and some edgy content. Nelk slowly gained subscribers and recognition over the last 10 years and eventually became an entertainment empire. Even the New York Times had some recent articles discussing Nelk and their brands’ successes.

Now, back to the HappyDad.

If you know Nelk or go to their many page to browse their content for 5 minutes, you will know drinking is part of their branding, especially for the main member Stephen Deleonardis (SteveWillDoIt). Therefore, it is quite fitting for them to have their own alcohol brand. I am just surprised that they are not going for a party drink like Tequila. Instead, they made a healthier hard-seltzer that had low calories and sugar and is full of electrolytes.

If you go to HappyDad’s official site, you will notice the minimalistic design of the site, it contains the most important information you need to know about the drink like where they had their drinks brewed, the flavor of the drink, and the nutrient facts about the drink. All the information on the website has a clear purpose of advertising the drink. For example, when you land on the page for the first time, the first image you will see is two of the most popular main member of Nelk. At first glance, you will know who is representing the brand and if you love them, you most certainly will have the urge to find out the details about the drink.

The site is very user-centered and very easy to navigate through the pages. Every page only contains the necessary information about the product. It will only take an average user 5 minutes to view the whole website and have a very pleasant feeling about it due to the simplicity of the web design.

I could not say the design is innovative but it certainly reflects the personality of the brand. As you can tell from their packaging, the feeling that the brand is trying to create is simple and minimalistic. The site is also using a responsive design which means you can assess it from any device. The site will adjust itself to fit the screen.

The site is not using any AI for customer service purposes but if you go to their site, you will understand why. It is simply because it is so easy to browse through!!! I believe that is also some of the information that they are trying to convey: if you know it, you know it!
