After the Covid-19 pandemic, more people are focusing on health and wellness. People would love to pay extra for food that benefits their immunity, mental health, and metabolism. 77% of consumers want to take action for health in the future. As a result, different diets are introduced to the public, such as low-carb diets, plant-based diets, keto diets, and so on. Demand and supply are always at equilibrium.

Healthy food and snacks have become the trend to echo people’s needs.

The most popular healthy snacking trends in 2022 are no preservatives or additives, reduced sugar, and high protein.

MOON CHEESE is one of the most popular high-protein salty snacks recently. MOON CHEESE is supplying 100% real cheese crunch bites to customers.

Besides improving product qualities, MOON CHEESE offers great UX for customers. People visit their official website and get a pop-up wheeling game invitation. Try your luck!

The game is a fun way to ask people to subscribe. After playing the game, I received an email to confirm my subscription. After I confirmed, I received the welcome email with a 10% off promo code.

I discovered I had received another email with 15% off the following day. On the third day, I received 25%off promo code. MOON CHEESE has sent emails three times to attract customers who have subscribed but have yet to buy.

Follow-up emails are great for keeping people engaged. I was not planning to purchase it. However, I could not resist the magic of 25% off.

Personally, MOON CHEESE’s email marketing is successful in terms of first time attraction because I took action. From a professional perspective, MOON CHEESE consists of a single message through 3 emails. The layout emails highlight the main news — discount since MOON CHEESE designs to put the value in the middle of the screen. Of course, a 25% off discount is behavior-triggered.

On the other hand, MOON CHEESE does not have creativities and personalizations in email marketing. Focusing on using discounts to attract customers is not sustainable. It is purely promotion rather than content creation. Although the social media function is integrated into the end of the email, there is little value in sharing with others.

I would rate 6/10 on MOON CHEESE’s email marketing. The wheel game definitely add credits. MOON CHEESE has been trying hard to attract customers for a first-time purchases.

However, their email marketing still needs more improvements. The frequency of promotion emails is excellent for keeping people engaged. However, purely based on the discount can not keep customers engaged with the brand or products long term, which MOON CHEESE does.

Content can keep people’s attention all the time. MOON CHEESE should include more nutrition knowledge to educate readers in the future.

BTW, I am still waiting for the delivery.
