Hi, I’m Rachel. Welcome to my Blog! 🌷
Hi, my name is Rachel DeGennaro. Passionate about marketing, fashion, and brand communication, I am a graduate student at New York University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing while also gaining experience in the industry as an Intern.
I am from Monmouth County, New Jersey and have been dreaming about attending NYU since I was a young girl. I am so happy and excited to be here! With a strong academic background from my undergraduate education, I majored in Advertising and Public Relations while also minoring in Fashion Marketing. My academic journey took an exciting turn when I had the opportunity to study at a French fashion school in Paris, France. There, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this evolving, ever-changing, and fun industry. Although I have learned about marketing and the digital world, it definitely excites me to dive deeper because there is truly so much to learn!
Having my own blog, and being able to share my own perspective and experiences, gives me a ton of creative freedom to talk about marketing in the digital age. Some things I will be discussing are how the digital age offers countless opportunities for creative minds to explore innovative strategies, a community for professionals to collaborate and network, and a constant learning process while making a positive impact. This platform also allows me to record all of my knowledge thus far in this course. I am excited to learn from my peers and hear their thoughts on different topics. I think we all have something to learn from each other, especially in this collaborative industry. I am constantly growing as a student and as a professional, and I am so excited to share all of my opinions and thoughts with you!
Today, everything around us is marketing because of how connected we are to technology. Our society is rarely “unplugged.” Contrary to popular belief as a marketing enthusiast, I think it’s important to also invest in face-to-face connections that will then translate into more impactful digital interactions. I think it is crucial to have a balance between the two, because in my opinion it unleashes the full potential of our marketing strategies.
