If there is nothing new for the LUSH APP, why did LUSH spend money to create the APP and why do people download it?

After checking the LUSH’s website and APP, the designs and functions are very similar. Maybe because the brand wants to keep consistency for all platforms used and do not want to give special meaning for the APP, the brand only changed the content arrangement. In my opinion, most people who download this APP are current customers or are already interested in the brand since LUSH does not have external advertising expenses. In this situation, LUSH should make the APP easy to use and convenient to make a purchase. These are the primary reasons why people use LUSH APP rather than a website. There is no need for new experiences such as AR technology. On this aspect, LUSH does an excellent job. The APP shows clear messages. Also, it is easy to find the products customers want. Based on this information, I think the purpose of LUSH to create this APP is to make the purchase process more straightforward and increase brand loyalty.

The most convenient function of this APP is to help customers finding stores. Because some products of LUSH expired in a short period, people cannot buy them online. The APP can help customers find stores near them. It is better to use this function on the APP. If customers select one store and click “Get Direction,” the APP will jump to the map APP automatically and show the direction. So people can follow the map directly to stores.

The APP design follows the brand style that uses a clean background, cool font style, comfortable colors. Comparing the way to show products to other brands, LUSH shows the contents instead of outside packages. This makes the APP looks unique. In my opinion, the reason is the specific strategy of LUSH. Instead of spending money to design packages, this brand focuses on creating beautiful products so that when customers use them, they feel fun and happy. Even when I am looking at these products on the APP, I feel enjoyable and comfortable. Sometimes, I forget to find the products I want; I enjoy going through all products the brand has since the way LUSH designs and shows products are impressive. The beautiful pictures and APP design absorb people’s eyes and show the brand positioning. In other words, products have high qualities and are not cheap.

Download it or not?

If you are LUSH fans or current customers, I think it is useful, especially during this significant time, to download it. The reason is simple. If you can make a deal quickly and easily on your phone, will you go to a store or check the website on your computer? Also, even though you do not want to make any purchases, the beautiful design can make you happy and comfortable. What a deal!
