Many years ago, when people wanted to buy a new car, they usually spent a lot of time visiting the dealership. Unfortunately, it is typically the home court of the salesmen. After several days, hours, or even weeks of negotiation, people found that the price of the product they bought was much higher than they expected at first. Was this a pleasant shopping experience, maybe, but the process was not so enjoyable. Nowadays, with the development of the Internet, online shopping has gradually become the choice of people’s daily shopping. But if you want to buy a car, isn’t online shopping the right choice? Let’s take a look!

First Glimpse

Official Site
Mobile Site

I chose Audi as the subject of this experiment. I typed Audi in Google, and the first one to jump out was not the official website, which surprised me. The official website is second, after a dealer website. When you click the official website, the first thing that jumps out is the picture of the new e-Tron series that Audi is launching. Below that, there is a line of model choices, followed by photos of some models. Finally, there are some interactive options, such as find a dealer and airbag recall. The website of a luxury brand is so concise that impress me. Then I tried to enter this website with my mobile phone, and it was almost a similar style and the same typography.

What a Useful Site

build your Audi s6

After spending 20 minutes wandering the official website, I think it’s time to give a summary of this website. First of all, this is indeed a very useful website. In addition to the real driving experience, you can quickly get any information you want. I think this is also the purpose of this website to give correct and accurate information. For me, simple and useful sites are usually the most comfortable. Unlike its brand positioning, its website uses the simplest and most effective style to reflect a temperament of low-key content. The black and white color scheme makes people feel formal, which is very suitable for buying occasion. The responsive design used on the website makes it possible to get the same experience, even when using different devices to access the site. I think the entire website is based on trust to fascinate people. It doesn’t have a lot of fancy words to praise brands or models, but only reflects the differences between different models through real data, which is very in line with the style of German brands. The German’s rigorous style also makes this website not have AI for customer service but uses traditional manual online services.

This experimental experience is quite good. Although Audi can’t buy cars directly on the website like Tesla, it can indeed optimize the shopping experience of customers.
