As a customer of JetBlue airlines or any other person who would wish to take flight, JetBlue App is useful because it has all the needs in just a few taps. A user can search for and book for a flight, get updates of seat selection of make changes of the preferred seat, check-in, get the boarding passes, and get access to all other needs such as drinks. The app is available on Google store for android phones and App Store for IOS powered smartphones such as iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watch. In addition, customers can always get their queries answered faster by chatting with JetBlue crewmember through live chat.

The app serves the purpose of both the company and the customers using it. It is no secret that airlines are a complicated and complex organization that manages so many data streams. JetBlue has made it easy for customers to access the data that has been simplified and filtered, making it easy for JetBlue app users to access what they need on time. It is also to navigate the JetBlue app given the large icons on the screen, for instance, it is easy to search and book for the destination. On the screen, the user of the JetBlue app can also get to see a list of JetBlue airline destinations and ticket prices.

The design of this app is appealing and attractive given that the designer used cool colors, blue and white. Also, there are a smaller number of icons on the screen, making it easy to locate what the user is searching for. For the company, the app is innovative and a way of remaining competitive in the airline industry. Many airlines in the United States have been competing with low fares. JetBlue had to look for alternatives to remain competitive in the market other than just competing with just fare prices. Native apps such as the JetBlue app made it possible for the company to remain competitive in the market. JetBlue Airline customers will be able to access all the services using the app such as booking for ticking, checking for available destinations, and chat with aircrew. Thus, the customer has no reason not to download the app. In addition, the app will also keep the user engaged with the brand because after boarding the airline or after reaching the destination, the app will still be working. It also provides extra services such as renting of pick-up car from the airport or snacks and drinks available on board.

While the app does not provide any loyalty programs, gaming, or AR, I think it should arrange for loyalty programs for loyal customers. This will increase or retain the number of customers in the future thus making the company competitive. Using this app, however, is a pleasure to the user because he/she can book for a flight at the comfort of his or her location or time. That said, the app truly deserves a space on a customer’s smartphone due to the number of services one can access with the help of the JetBlue App.
