First of all, from the homepage, it is very useful and easy to navigate. It has specific function sections such as home section which you can see feature brands, trending brands, and personal recommendations. You also can log in to your account and track all your activities not only in digital but also in brick and mortar’s stores.

Moreover, even if I shop at Sephora many times, I see the inspire section for the first time. The app offers to inspire sections including Sephora’s community, quizzes, and virtual artist. This is the most innovate section for this app. The community works like a forum that everyone can find his or her groups and discuss beauty-related topics. For example, they will discuss whether the latest foundation looks good on dry skin type persons. In the community, customers will see reviews from other customers and users. Currently, influencers might promote products by using “disinformation”. As a customer, I would like to see real feedback, not fancy advertisements. The other innovation part is virtual artist that you can test and preview products via a phone camera. For example, if you want to buy one lipstick but you do not have a chance to access retail stores, you can try it in the mobile app. It is innovated and powerful for online shoppers.

Generally, this app serves its purpose that not only selling all levels of beauty products but also forms an ecosystem for customers. They can enjoy shopping on mobile and it also builds bridges to connect customers to Sephora. Although they leave stores, they still can access store latest beauty trends by mobile and have more chances to communicate with other beauty fans. It will generate more impressions and increase conversion rates. It retains customers and keeps them engaged with the brand by this app.
