The outbreak of corona virus made every business to be in loss. The conditions were drastic as the people were locked down in their houses. The conventional methods of marketing such as in store marketing become useless after the lock down. The company started to work harder on the marketing on the digital platforms such as websites and social media platforms. After the lock down the use of internet and the digital platforms increased drastically that led to the only solution to sustain was to do the digital marketing. The Light life food started to increase its presence on social media and daily posting become important to compete in the industry.

Not only this but the website of the company was also upgraded to take orders online and delivery at their door steps. The delivery was the best solution to the people in times of covid as people were not allowed to and also scared to step out of the house. Their marketing campaigns in the times of covid for the veggie burgers with the taste of meat along with ordering online proved the best for the Lightlife food.

Opinion

In my opinion, the company responded well to the pandemic conditions and started to work on the issues by seeing that in coming future months, the conditions are going to be bad for the business and the sales were expected to decrease which happened. They proposed the solution for the issues faced by the business such as the conventional marketing techniques were not working. The presence on the social media platforms were less and the website was not upgraded to deal with the orders. To increase the presence on the social media platforms, the company started to post daily and used hashtags to rank the post and come in trending posts. The website was upgraded and through marketing campaigns, a person clicking on the advertisement is redirected towards to the website where he can place the orders for the food.

Long-term Pandemic Effects on Marketing Communication

As the world has shifted towards the digitalization after the outbreak of covid, it is expected that the it might continue to stay digital even after the conditions become normal. adaption of technology that keeps changing is considered good and once people are comfortable with it there is now way back to the old methods. They look for something more advanced. So, the digital marketing of the business will remain the same but some of the old marketing techniques could be used on the basis of the needs. However, it is expected that every business will go digital.
