I have always been drawn to things that inspire imagination and innovation.

Upon entering university, I immersed myself in Communication and Media, for its perfect combination of specialized knowledge and dynamic arts in both theoretical study and practical training. During the study, I have equipped myself with a wide range of knowledge and skills in communication and graphic design. I considered myself as an artist that time and started to think about how those artists propagandize their masterpiece to the world. As I delved deeper, I enrolled in Business and Management as my second major to gain insights into the real business world. By taking the courses I got a broader idea of business and marketing.

It’s time for me to explore more in marketing and combine those with my media knowledge.

Then, to get a better understanding of the business environment and market trends, I took the initiative to work in the real industry by taking internships. During the internship, I got the opportunity to participate in the publicity and planning of some events, ranging from video marketing to article marketing that drives to multi-platform content production. I had not only honed my skills but also gained a more comprehensive understanding of the combination of customers’ demands and advertising strategy and promotional programs. What’s more, I realized the importance of brand consistency, as it makes the audiences acquire an imprint of the brand image based on long-term exposure to the core culture and values of the brand, so as to expand brand awareness and improve audiences’ loyalty.

Last year, I got a chance to firstly participate in the publication of blogs. As a primary source of media nowadays, blogs become a nearly ubiquitous part of our day-to-day lives. Blogs always provide information, entertainment and even inspiration to audience. When I worked in an audit form named Ernst & Young, EY, my mentor from social media team in marketing department taught me a lot about good understanding of typography, color, and composition of blogs. Although I didn’t get the opportunity to write one for the firm, I really achieved a great deal. From that point on, I started to have a great interest in blogs. Reading blogs and attracted by the typography and structure of them became my daily routine.

Having been trained extensively in marketing and communication both in and outside the classroom, though, I have realized that I need a systematic study to meet the demanding requirements to become an expert in the future. I am highly motivated to take write my own blog. It can not only empower me with a broad range of digital marketing skills to prepare fully for my future career goal. I aspire to join a respectful international corporation and tell the story of the brand with the knowledge and experience I got.
