Kiehl’s is one of the biggest competitors for The Ordinary. Both of them focus on functional skincare products. Let’s see how Kiehl’s uses social media to advertise their products.

One social media campaign that Kiehl’s did is very impressive. One youtube, you could find Kiehl’s partnership with several doctors who are proficient in skin care to introduce their products.

For example, in this video, Dr. Shereene introduces Kiehl’s signature product “ Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Corrector”. She introduced this product in a more professional way. I got to know that activated C plus salicylic acid is a more effective way of whitening.

Different from the blogger or youtuber who introduce the products by sharing their user experience, this partnership video is more credible in a professional way.

I think customers should get to know the products in different perspective. They need to know influencers’ experience, the official advertising from the brand and this kind of professional introduction. There are many brands lack the last kind of advertising. Therefore Kiehl’s did a great job.

In addition, this kind of video fits Kiehl’s brand image very well. In boutique, we could see Kiehl’s sales are wearing doctor’s clothing. Therefore, partner with real doctor let Kiehl’s brand image be more clear.
