I’ve been subscribed to many emails, from news to columns, from e-commerce to wellness platforms because I want to stay informed of the organizations and brands that I followed. And because of the voluntary sign-up system, email marketing plays an important role in informing customers and cultivating customer relationship.

Siete Foods is a US company founded in 2014 by Veronica Garza that makes nontraditional versions of traditional Mexican and Mexican-American ingredients and foods. Siete wants to “create a category in grain-free and dairy-free Mexican American staples”. Siete, the Mexican-inspired snack brand has done email marketing just right.

The pop up on the website appears a few seconds after I opened the website. Once I clicked “x” on the right corner, the box never pop up again through my experience browsing the site. So it is not annoying for customers who are not interested in signing up.

Since most customers only sign up for emails, Siete indicates that 3988 joined Siete’s SMS list and formulates the box “Sign up for email & texts” — associating emails and texts — in order to encourage customers to sign up for SMS.

Siete offers limited-edition Siete Small Batches when signing up SMS, as well as the ability to chat with them directly through text.

I often view my email subscription for brands (not news or organizations) on my phone and this is the welcome letter from Siete.

The hispanic heritage, the family bond, and the bright color are symbols of Siete, and they delivered it well through the welcome email.

The text was similar, honoring the hispanic heritage with “Shakira, Hola, Juntos es mejor”, creating bonds with customers.

The customer support team is great, including chat, text, email, phone, and social media, covering all mediums of communication.

When I navigate to create account page, when I typed my email, I was immediately linked to my Shop account, which enabled me to sign in without password on Siete’s website, making things easier.

Siete also offers subscription options for registered customers, with “subscribe and save 10%” service.

Their website is accessibility-friendly with all kinds of adjustments, embodying their inclusivity.

And I was easily redirected to amazon to shop Siete products, without pop-up though. I choose to click on “shop on Amazon”.

Overall, Siete has done a pretty good job in cultivating email marketing and its web design is clear and efficient — with welcoming information but not forcing customers to sign up or make the purchase right away with continuous pop-up or email/text.
