The digital aspect of social media marketing utilizes social networking platforms to enhance product and brand visibility and develop sustainable relationships with customers. It can take place on mobile phones or desktops. By end of the year 2022, ad spending on digital marketing is projected to reach €550.80 billion. Social media digital marketing helps businesses drive sales and generate leads. Though social media can be a powerful tool for marketing, it may not work ideally solely. The platform is most effective when integrated with an effective digital marketing strategy. When more than one marketing element works harmoniously, the results are always positive. For instance, a business may use its Facebook page to push signups to its monthly newsletter. The signups go into its most recent email marketing campaigns, resulting in either new customers or leads. Besides, the business can develop a compelling landing page on its website for sales promotions through social media.

Creating A Consistent Voice on Social Media

Another strategy for developing a robust digital marketing aspect of social media is creating a consistent voice. Every element of a digital marketing plan should seamlessly work together. Visuals, messages, and videos should have the same feel, look, and tone. If a company uses a friendly feed on Instagram, it should replicate it on YouTube, the company website, and other digital platforms. A disconnect in any of the platforms lowers prospects’ confidence in a brand. Currently, customers are wary of dishonest companies in their online operations. Therefore, such discrepancies can be a sign of dishonesty to new leads.

Finally, an organization should not rely on one social media platform as potential customers have different preferences for social media platforms. Therefore, they should adopt an integrated approach to digital marketing. It is prudent to adopt YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook, among others to enhance brand visibility and leads.
