Sparkling Ice has announced the launch of its third annual “Cheers for Heroes” campaign to honor America’s veterans. From April 1 through July 31, consumers can upload their purchase receipts to the Sparkling Ice website and use the rewards program to donate to the Honor Flight Network and Homes For Our Troops. In addition, the brand has added two new SKUs to its product lineup: Berry Lemonade and +Caffeinated Watermelon Lemonade.

Both flavors will be included in a limited edition package that proudly displays the Honor Flight Network and Homes For Our Troops logos to raise awareness of these organizations and the Cheer for Heroes campaign. The redesigned packaging will feature a bright red, white and blue color scheme to honor the U.S. veterans who will benefit from the campaign.

About Honor Flight Network

The mission is to celebrate America’s veterans by inviting them to share a day of honor at our nation’s memorials. The Honor Flight Network is a national network of independent hubs that work together to advance the mission of Honor Flight. To further this common goal, we have the opportunity to show our nation’s veterans the appreciation and honor they deserve. Participation in the Honor Flight Tour gives veterans the opportunity to share this important moment with other comrades, to remember friends and comrades lost, and to share their stories and experiences with other Veterans. All Honor Flight veterans travel to Veterans at no cost. The Honor Flight Network currently serves veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. We also serve terminally ill veterans who served in any era.

About Homes For Our Troops (HFOT)

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a national nonprofit organization that builds and donates custom homes nationwide that have been specially adapted to help severely injured post-9/11 Veterans rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have suffered life-altering injuries, including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our veterans sacrificed while defending our country and allow them to focus on their families, recovery and rebuilding their lives. HFOT builds these homes where veterans choose to live and continues the relationship with veterans after delivery to help them rebuild their lives. Since our inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent goes directly to our program services that support veterans.

Cheer to Heroes

In 2020, Sparkling Ice launched a series of campaigns to promote a message of positivity and togetherness across America, including the Cheers to Heroes campaign, honoring everyday heroes, and the Cheers to You Town Beautification Program, celebrating small towns across America through community-driven projects.

Cheers to Heroes campaign

“We are excited to kick off the third year of the Cheers to Heroes campaign, especially with such deserving partners as Honor Flight Network and Homes For Our Troops,” said Nina Morrison, Senior Vice President of Community Experience at Talking Rain. “The past two Cheers to Heroes campaigns have been immensely successful in raising awareness about America’s everyday heroes, and this year, we’re looking forward to further supporting our Veteran community and inviting consumers to take part in a new way.”

This is the seventh year of Talking Rain’s partnership with Honor Flight Network and the second year of its partnership with Homes For Our Troops, moving from regional to national sponsorship. Throughout the partnership with Honor Flight, Talking Rain has raised more than $900,000 to sponsor more than 900 veterans’ trips to Washington, D.C. Throughout 2022, Talking Rain will join the Homes For Our Troops team in supporting the construction of more than 15 specially adapted, custom homes across the United States. Veteran Worthy Homes.

The past few years have been challenging for the United States, a time when this country needs cohesion the most. This campaign is just the right way to increase the contributions of ordinary people to this country in a lighthearted way. This campaign is not only about thanking and celebrating the troops, but also the heroes in local communities who continue to work on the front lines to support this country. Whether you are a nurse, first responder, grocery store worker, farmer, parent, mail carrier, office manager, doctor, or teacher — it’s your turn to feel honored for all you do to contribute to our country in this time of need. Sparking ice stood by its mission of social responsibility through this campaign and increased brand attention. I think sparking ice should continue this campaign next year, but increase its social media presence to gain more attention, or the purchase page could be changed during this period to make the campaign more visible.
