The importance of digital marketing strategy is that brands and businesses need to succeed in the digital age. It provides more opportunities and tools to help enterprises stand out in the highly competitive market and build lasting brand influence. Here are my five pieces of advice for launching a digital campaign:

1. Understand Your Brand and Customers

The first step is the most important one. As a planner, you should first have a clear understanding of your brand message and its USP(Unique Selling Proposition)\UVP(Unique Value Proposition). When formulating your strategy, you should ensure that your plan is always linked to the brand persona. To achieve this fit, you should have a deep understanding of your brand’s target audience. Conducting market research and audience analysis provides a good understanding of the needs, preferences, and behavior of target customers. This knowledge will inform strategy and help create targeted campaigns.

For example, through marketing analysis, Sephora divides their customers into several different categories. They operate different social media accounts to target different target groups, such as dedicated beauty and skin care accounts, makeup inspiration accounts, men’s grooming accounts, etc., to meet the needs of different audiences.

2. Aim to Your Target in Appropriate Platform

Now that you have completed your market analysis, you have identified your target audience. Next, you will use precise targeting methods, such as geographic location, interests, behaviors, etc., to present your ads to the most relevant potential customers.
It is very significant to choose the appropriate distribution channel for the advertisement. You need to choose a suitable advertising platform based on the target audience and advertising goals.

3. Impress Your Customers

The importance of website and mobile user experience (UX) to a brand cannot be ignored, as they directly affect users’ impressions and attitudes towards a brand. UX directly affects whether users stay on the website or mobile app, and generates long-term loyalty to the brand. If users find it enjoyable and convenient to use, they are more likely to continue using and supporting the brand. Otherwise, they will give up the exploration of brand content. In addition, a convenient and efficient UX design that is close to the brand image can better convey the brand concept to users, make the brand establish an impression in the hearts of users, and stand out in the fierce market competition.

4. Make “Juicy” Content

Social media is a platform for direct interaction with audiences, and the quality and presentation of content directly affect users’ perceptions and attitudes toward brands. The content on social media reflects the brand’s personality, values, and style, and directly affects users’ perception and perception of the brand image. High-quality, unique, and interesting content can strengthen your brand image, while low-quality or inappropriate content can damage your brand image.

To be more specific, when I browsed the content of Dove’s “Real Beauty” social media activities, I was impressed by their spirit of supporting women to explore themselves and break traditional constraints, which makes me more interested in this brand; on the contrary, I felt confused for Kendall Jenner’s 2017 ad for Pepsi. The ad content doesn’t have much to do with the product itself, and at the same time makes me feel like it’s using social issues to sell the product. Such content affected my good opinion of Pepsi.

5. “Big Data” Achieves Your “Big Plan”

Analyzing advertising data is also a part that cannot be ignored in digital campaigns, and it is a key tool for optimizing and improving digital marketing strategies. By analyzing advertising data in detail, brands can gain a deep understanding of user behavior, advertising effects, and market trends, to make more informed decisions and adjust strategies to improve the success rate and effectiveness of digital marketing activities. It can help you optimize your advertising budget allocation by comparing the performance of different advertising channels; it can also understand user behavior paths and preferences, and help you formulate more targeted advertising content; in addition, it can also help you understand your competitors’ advertisement strategies, to optimize your own competitive strategy.

In short, digital marketing is a subject that is always evolving. The bits of advice given above may not fully cover all the possibilities you will encounter when carrying out digital campaigns, but they can effectively help you and your brand stand out in the highly competitive market and build a lasting brand influence.
