“Sweetgreen already means healthy organic food you can trust; now is means convenience too.” according to App Store Editors’ Notes. The app is now scored 4.9 by 42k ratings in the Apple Store.

User experience

This app is designed for customers to find the nearest Sg store, then order online, so they can skip the line, pay online or scan QRcode instore to pay and earn rewards by log into the Sweetgreen account. It’s very easy and time-saving to place an order, which makes Sweetgreen a perfect choice for white-collars or students.

It’s easy to use, just a few taps, customers can get their bowl, they also offer the one-tap reorder service, so for the repeat customers, they can tap MY ORDERS to see their order history and quickly reorder a favorite item. They can also swipe right to add a saved item to a new order , mark it or share it with friends. Moreover, the operating system is smooth, easy to navigate and logical.

Aesthetic and design

First, just like what you can see in the intro of the app “Putting healthy in your hand literally”, the main colors of the app is green and white, it delivered a very fresh, clean and healthy vibe to the customers successfully.

Second, not only the clear and high-quality picture of every meal will be shown in the app, but also when customers try to build their own bowl and modify their signature, the pictures of every ingredient will be displayed, and the total calories for the bowl will show up on the top of the screen, this is a very smart and helpful design, the pictures are very user-friendly and the calories calculation can meet the demand of their main target customers who care about healthy eating, and even diet.

Third, the QRcode “shake, scan to pay” system is very innovative, it can reduce the customers’ waiting time, and according to research, people tend to spend much more money when they shop and pay online compared to traditional shopping.

Finally, I think maybe they can build a community for customers to share their healthy recipes and some health tips in there.

Business sense

In the app, customers are required to register a Sweetgreen account, so they can earn rewards every time they purchased in-store or online. Just like other chain restaurants or shops, this reward system will help them to retain customers and keep them engaged with the brand. Also, the data collected via the app can help the company improve the recipes or customer service. Overall, these will increase customer service, customer loyalty and increase sales.

Is it ziyu approved?

Yes, it’s a positive answer. For me, this is a very useful app, I will not regret to let it stay on my smartphone. Because for me as a foreigner, I still cannot recognize all the varied kinds of vegetables in English, so it always makes me feel awkward when I try to express what kind of vegetables I want, but everything solved with the app. It can also help me calculate the total calories, and I don’t even have to wait in line, just grab and go, what a perfect choice for me. People like me who have tight schedules and don’t have time waste in line or visit a fancy restaurant for healthier food will definitely enjoy this app a lot.
