Hi there, don’t mean to start “marketing” right away. I’m Yi Dai, or Kathy, a 23-year-old NYU graduate student. New to integrated marketing, but very passionate about this journey.

A little bit of facts about me. I was born in Shanghai, China. Went to high school in Michigan when I was 15 because I wanted to experience different learning environments. After suffered three years of cold weather, I graduated high school and moved to San Diego for college. I majored in neuroscience at UCSD, worked in labs and deal with enough brain sections after I finally figured out storytelling and understanding the psychology behind persuasion are integral parts of me.

That’s why I’m here! Sitting around all these smart people and learning integrated marketing at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. And more surprisingly, writing the first blog of my life!

As part of the gen Z, I’m deeply aware of how vital digital marketing is; how it gradually permeates people’s lives and influences consumers’ purchasing habits. We are living in an age of information explosion, and with it comes the need to create and utilize more effective medias to make ourselves available and reaching our target customers. The raise of digital marketing provides businesses with the tools and strategies needed to make connections and adapt to this evolving new landscape.
