We’re all humans, living in a digital marketing world…

Life in the post-pandemic, it’s quite different.

Just the other day I was going through the camera roll on my phone and found a bunch of pictures from 2019. Ahhh. The year of easily planned trips, hanging out with family and friends during the summer unapologetically, and the biggest, using my phone and laptop to browse the internet.

Browse. So cute.

And then, 2020 happened. Need I say more? Many more people were using the internet due to being home and majority of places being closed. Reading an article published in January 2020 on Digital Marketing Institute, they stated a trend for digital marketing was going to be interactive content to educate consumers. Little did they know, that was going to be a part of our lives, not just a trend.

Okay Pari, where are you going with this?

Many things are happening in the world right now. We’re living in a post-pandemic era with supply chain issues and a fear of a world war happening. Yikes.

But life in the digital world does not stop. For marketers, the once “go-to” strategy of doing business is now unsustainable and it is key to be careful where a brand invests its money and time. So, what should marketers focus on when building a digital marketing strategy these days?

As the times advance, so do strategies and the ways to be successful on digital. Even though these are 5 important things I think brands should know before creating a digital marketing strategy, it may differ on brands’ preferences on what they want to focus on.

At the end of the day, they need to know themselves as a brand and be willing to leave room for the unexpected. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned within the past 2 years in the pandemic, it’s to always expect the unexpected and live in the moment.

Love&Light Always — Pari
