TikTok is a Chinese app that is used for the purpose of entertainment. The young people use this app to make videos or just watch the content of others. However, there are security concerns related to the social media platforms. Most of the militants are not allowed to use these social media apps including TikTok that raises a question of security. If the security of a person is breached or the privacy is invaded then it is considered the breach of law and companies are held liable. Most of these platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter have breached the law and the same thing is expected from TikTok.

The active users created content and their activities shows their interests and motivation that tells a lot about their personality and their future. However, this business model is compromised due to identity theft and data breaches many times. The app uses powerful Artificial Intelligence that recognizes faces that is the concern for militaries and big companies. TikTok is expected to breach the privacy law but till now the motive behind is not cleared as no breach has done by the app.

The president of US has threatened to ban the app on the concerns of identity theft. The company’s multiple times settled the lawsuits for collecting data of children which is bad. However, the company could be banned in US or the parent company might have to divest its operations from US.
