What my opinion about Social Media in the Society

The current global context has shifted significantly. Technology advancement has been a fundamental aspect in promoting this change. Information sharing has evolved, meaning that it is easier to influence communication-based on the number of individuals information can reach. Social media platforms have been instrumental in this context, considering that they have become a significant information source. Social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are globally linked. It is easy to spread information without necessarily thinking about the authenticity of shared knowledge. Despite the positive outcomes associated with social media, the negative impact has been increased significantly, creating a limiting factor in efforts to attain democracy and build better relations.
In the recent past, social media platforms have implemented policies where they censored context that is perceived to incite or cause violence. These firms control the monopoly in determining whether a given message or video is likely to prompt the constitution’s subversion in its efforts to maintain free speech. Most people who these social media platforms have censored are conservatives and right-wing politicians who have strong views that do not resonate with many people.
For example, In the past presidential elections, President Trump’s speech and statements were heavily scrutinized, especially his attacks on mainstream media and social media platforms as sources of fake news aimed at planting wrong ideology among Americans.
Social media has effectively focused on misinformation and advancing skewed agendas, which are perceived as of greater interest to all Americans. Twitter has affirmed that its commitment to free speech is more substantial and dismisses the assertion that they censor free thinkers and conservatives
However, these statements are merely public relations aimed at hoodwinking the public to believe that their interests are being protected. Issues of public opinion can be easily distorted where a majority of people might consider a given they have their say in a democratic world. However, this does not mean that the views held by minority groups are worthless. The constitution forms a central underlying guiding principle that creates a reference point in decision-making. However, It is also vital to understand that the extent to which a given statement is considered hate speech or free speech has not been exclusively communicated.
The dominant nature of these firms has dramatically influenced the commitment to promoting better ideologies and innovation. Companies such as Facebook have sought to buy out any firms that seek to create competition, such as WhatsApp. Adapting to these challenges within a society requires controlling the domination and influence that these firms have within the industry. The free role that these firms have been given is disastrous to global growth. Another essential component that can help improve the current situation is the adoption of inclusion and diversity. Diversity is the most critical aspect of the contemporary world, considering that it integrates necessary measures that define better social engagement. Different individuals have varying levels of considerations under which it is possible to incorporate better actions that promote better social development.
