In recent years, there has been a broad debate about whether Internet regulation should be on the agenda. To solve this problem, I believe that with the development of Internet technology and more and more Internet audiences, Internet regulation should be formally put on the agenda. Because network content, network privacy security and a series of things related to the network are directly related to everyone’s personal dignity and personal interests.

The security of online content is mainly reflected in whether people’s comments on social platforms infringe upon the personal dignity of the parties concerned. Now that the pernicious effects of cyber violence are well known, some public figures on the Internet, the opinions of netizens are also varied. As soon as people catch the slightest bit of bad information, they start to abuse the internet. However, those who think cyber violence is the same as bickering in daily life ignore the fake aspect of the cyber world. It is the lack of real people and the state’s lax control of the Internet that has allowed the cyber-bullies to rail so loudly. In fact, as long as you look closely, you will find that the perpetrator of cyber violence in daily life may be a highly educated high-quality talent. But in the absence of government oversight of the Internet, people are sending cynical messages on such platforms.

Online privacy security is also a headache. There are plenty of examples in our lives of people whose phone numbers have been leaked, and whose personal portraits have been invaded. The article “global cyber-attacks and data breaches in 2019” has a lot to say about online privacy breaches. For example, in April 2019, “two third-party companies collected 540 million Facebook-related records, including their names, passwords, photos, and membership groups” (Kriston). Some people who are against network regulation may say that the disclosure of personal privacy is completely due to their own failure to deal with it. However, in my opinion, as long as users use a certain network platform, their responsible person should bear the risk of privacy disclosure, which is a spirit of the contract. Thus, it can be seen that the impact of the early disclosure of online privacy as much. This also reminds the state and other relevant departments need to strengthen network supervision and maintenance of this aspect of the legal measures.

To sum up, Internet use has become an important way for People’s Daily work and life. In order to better safeguard everyone’s basic interests and personal safety, it is an inevitable trend for Internet regulation to become a formal legal means.
