What if you are only one step away from better life? What if you can create a better world? Saving the environment of the world is always the most significant and complicated problem, and we are always destroying our living condition through abusing resources. This is how IKEA try to resonate with customers.

I find it interesting that it represents lots of identities in visual ways. In doing so, it somehow states something more than just buying furnitures. IKEA is not only a platform to buy furnitures. Rather, it’s a chance to side with unfairness, start over your life, and even save the world. This story completely displays the brand message that everything is for sustainable and innovative future.

“The role of the film is mainly to inspire co-workers, business partners and suppliers about who IKEA is and want to be. IKEA is more than a place to buy furniture and home accessories. It is a place for people who share a bigger idea,” explained by brand concept leader, Åsa Nordin.

There’s one piece of contents engaged me the most when it says “
what if we can turn tables on food and make the meatballs without meat.” Making a meatball without meat seems like an unachievable goal, but you would never known if it work unless you begin. Apparently, IKEA has courage and ambition to make something creative and innovative, and they would like to take risk for challenges.

Before watching this video, I wouldn’t believe that a furniture brand can take steps to protect the environment. However, they became the first person and they somehow made it. Moreover, they are asking other people to join with them by using recycling products as they ingeniously combine their business and environment protecting. Their action pushes a message to me that they are not just attempting to make money but to save the world.

Overall, it is a very inspiring video which gives me lots of power and courage to take the first step in everything and remind us cherishing every resource of our world.
