Facebook continues to work to get copyright issues corrected while thousands of artists continue to sing on facebook.

So what can you do on the platform when it comes to playing music and singing cover songs?

Before you post a song on facebook, you need a clear understanding of the current facebook guidelines for September 2020.

Can you live stream copyrighted music?

Not exactly. It’s a rule that lands everyone in this grey area. Streaming copyrighted material on any social platform technically isn’t allowed but facebook does allow you to post cover videos when you have the right license.

There’s no guarantee that the particular song you are singing isn’t going to be removed or muted due to copyright infringement but facebook did send me this statement when I asked them about it:
