Welcome to the first edition of Snapchat Ideas! For this segment, we’re going to dig into some ways you can use Snapchat to really nail all the important moving parts involved with marketing using Snapchat, whether it be your company, or your personal brand, these can most likely apply.

Today, we’ll focus more on influencers or those looking to build more of a personal brand.

If you’re using Snapchat Stories for any kind of marketing purposes, one thing to remember is consistency. If you look at other successful brands on Snapchat, they always have certain colors they use, they make sure their logo is present as much as they can, and the form of content they produce has a familiar style that leaves potential customers wanting more.

One way, and a way that I see being adopted more and more is some kind of “intro”. An intro can be relatively simple, but must be a way you can keep a familiar brand for your audience. Some of the more creative ways of introductions I’ve seen is very reminiscent of how content creators on YouTube may start out their videos. Let me give a rundown of what could potentially be an introduction.

A simple “first Snap” of the day can come in the form of perhaps a short video with some of your favorite music playing in the background (using iTunes or Spotify). A potential second Snap can be a video of yourself, your agenda, and just a reminder of who you are briefly. This way, if you have a audience growing rapidly, you can make sure everyone knows exactly what they can look forward too. After the intro, just keep working on the content that keeps people hooked.

That’s it for this week. Keep checking back in for more Snapchat tips!
