I do not know about everyone else, but when I think of AR, Pokemon Go is the first thing to come to mind. Although I never gave myself the chance to experience the interactive game, I know how well it was executed.

It did such an amazing job that millions of people tuned in and countless memes were created about the app, for example:

Believe it or not, I am not here to talk about Pokemon Go, I just wanted to give an example of how powerful AR is and how strong of an impact it can have on a brand, like Patron.

The tequila brand, Patron, has done a wonderful job taking advantage of the incredible opportunity that is AR, which provides users a chance to interact and engage with a brand in real-time.

With this amazing advancement in technology and marketing, Patron has created an amazing way for consumers to connect with their brand on a personal level and interact with it digitally.

I welcome you to The Patron Experience! A new immersive glimpse into the Patron brand story. This revolutionary app AR experience allows consumers to view their favorite bottle of tequila, then takes them on a virtual tour of the Patron distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. Below is an example of The Patron Experience taken from my phone.

While this type of interactive experience does not satisfy the needs of everyone, it does help those consumers who strive to connect with brands based on their history and origins.

What helps increase brand loyalty for a consumer is an emotional connection and engagement. This unique AR experience gives people just that when trying out this app, which I highly suggest doing. The Patron Experience gives consumers the opportunity to take part in the brand's story with the allusion of actually taking a tour of the distillery and engaging with the creation of the beverage and where it comes from.
