Has your boyfriend/girlfriend or best friend ever said “lets just do Netflix n chill tonight?” Well mine definitely has.

Netflix has great marketing strategies and they have made this concept of “Netflix and Chill” viral, and it is part of people every day speech. “Netflix N Chill” is one of my favorite things to do!!

Just like Netflix was able to take this concept and make it viral, they were able to take their brand and expand to many different countries. Just like most companies, Netflix started out small, but with their great capabilities, they were able to expand fast.

In their more recent years, Netflix has wanted to continue expanding. In this article below it shows Netflix plans for expanding in 2019

Netflix has done a great job fulfilling their plans of expansion, although they did face challenges along the way.

A big challenge faced was that people were not used to Netflix. In other countries people were satisfied with their streaming services and felt no need for a whole new service. In the US Netflix has been around for years and was extremely popular, but for places that never had Netflix, the people felt no need for it.

Another huge challenge Netflix is continue to face, is content cost. The cost itself for the most watched shows, costs Netfilx a ton of money, and they feel it is not worth it for them to keep.

The most watched show Netflix now plans to get rid of is FRIENDS.

In my opinion Netflix could have solved this issue by renewing Netflix. They are now opening more room for competition. They are going to hurt themselves because FRIENDS is one of their top 3 watched shows, and now people will leave to WarnerMedia’s.

As Seth Godin says “You don’t find customers for your products. You find products for your customers.”

I believe by getting rid of FRIENDS, Netflix is going to get hurt, because they are taking away their customers favorite show.

Although Netflix may have its challenges, at the end of the day they are well-known for what they do, and loved by all. They may have some room to improve, just like any company, but I still love Netflix.
