Toluna Surveys Review — Pocket Money Series
Some of you may be curious about how to seek additional funding to speed up your MLM/network marketing business. With that question in mind, I decided to create this series where I will place all the additional income sources that I have used or previously used to recover some of my advertising costs and purchase essential tools that can help me manage my MLM business.
Before we continue, I would like to inform you that some of the sources that I shared here will not fully replace your salary. Those sources are meant for people who wish to earn some extra pocket money during their spare time.
Introduction
As mentioned in the title, the first income source I have used to make money online during my spare time. The earning potential of this income source is highly dependent on your demographics since it is a survey site and clients often are very specific in their target groups as well. For my case, it wasn’t that much since my area is not so popular according to those market research companies.
How To Start Earning Money?
As you have known that it is a survey site, you will be paid for giving your opinions in their surveys regarding their upcoming products or services in the marketplace.
As far as I know, there are 3 methods on the website for you to start making money online. These methods may be changed in the future based on the survey company’s decision but it won’t happen that frequently. As long as you logged in to the site daily, you should be updated on the latest trends happening on the site as well.
The currency used in this survey is calculated in points. Therefore, RM 20 Paypal cash is equivalent to 16320 points inside the Toluna website. You can also exchange your points with other rewards such as 250 AirAsia BIG points (11000 points), AEON shopping voucher of RM 20 (16800 points) and Giant Shopping Voucher of RM 20(16800 points).
Method 1: Filling Their Surveys
The first method is obvious, which is just filling their surveys since your opinion is what matters to them and their clients. When you just registered your account, you must make sure you fill your profile surveys first because that is how the website send you relevant surveys based on the data you provided them.
Once you completed your profile surveys, please do go to your Public Profile and Account Details section and complete them as well to receive relevant surveys in your account.
In the first few days after registration, you may not receive any surveys yet since they need some time to review your details. Once you have received a few surveys, be sure to answer them honestly and the company will start to qualify your answers before sending more surveys to you. Take note that there are times you may get disqualified when filling a survey because your answers did not meet their required target group.
There are times where you did not receive any surveys for the day, as it is subjected to the number of requests the survey company receives from clients. Because of that, this site cannot fully replace your salary, adding on to the inconsistent waiting time when you apply to convert your Toluna points into cash.
Note: As I published this content during the CoVid-19 virus outbreak, the rewards have been changed as well. Once everything returns to normal, I will re-upload some of the images to show the actual points rewarded after completing each survey.
Method 2: Sponsored Content
Sponsored content will represent the forum posts that appeared occasionally inside Toluna, usually created by one of the company’s profiles named QuickVotes. These posts will ask you to vote based on the options they listed, in exchange for 15 points. Below is a screenshot that represents how the post looks like.
This section can be accessed through the drop-down menu shown in this image below.
You only can vote once for each post, and these posts only allow a limited number of votes. Hence, make sure when you log in every day to check for surveys, check this section as well to find out if there are any posts for you to vote.
Note: Sometimes, you can get event post forums from user Toluna themselves for you to participate by leaving some comments. These posts do provide you with some points as a reward but the amount is inconsistent.
Method 3: Participate in their Consumer Insight Program
This method is the latest method I have personally encountered inside Toluna. To earn points using this method, you need to install the plug-in on your desktop/laptop browser (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox only) or download the Toluna app (Google Playstore or Apple Store). Once you have installed the app or plugin, you just need to browse the internet as usual with those running at the same time.
The points are rewarded every month and subject to what type of content you have browsed. If you have additional devices, you can install on all of them to multiply the number of points rewarded to you every month.
Conclusion
That is all I have known regarding Toluna Surveys as of this published date. The website may change in the future, so the information here may not be accurate. I have used this website to make money online for a few months and personally, I feel that the earning rate is just fine to be categorized as “earning money during your spare time”. If you want something else that totally replace your full-time job, this is NOT a site for you to choose.
I highly recommend this site to those who want to earn extra money during their spare time.
