As I write my final blog post for my study abroad trip to Peru, I reflect on the experience. The people, the sights, the things I’ve learned. I came into this trip with no expectations, and not much background knowledge as I am not an education major. I leave this trip feeling empowered to amplify the voices of the people whose microphones have been turned off, and to make a real difference as I begin to think about my professional career. Dr. Gibson constantly reminded us that “we are here to experience” and I think that was truly the best way to put it, we got to soak in so much and hopefully it all continues on with us. Please enjoy my final project!
