This guide demonstrates how to interact with the very popular, convenient, safe and non-custodial mobile wallet Trust Wallet.
The guide describes the wallet’s main features, which you will almost constantly need when actively using Trust Wallet.
1. Creating a new Trust Wallet
1. To create a new wallet, download and install the Trust Wallet app using the official links:
2. Open the app and then click on “Create new wallet”:
3. Read and check all the security rules. Next, click “Continue”:
4. Write down the seed phrase on a piece of paper or save it in any other safest way. Then in the Trust Wallet app itself, confirm the seed phrase by typing the 12 words one after the other in the correct order.
Remember that the seed phrase can not be passed on to anyone under any circumstances!
Click on “Next”. After this, your wallet will be successfully created. Click on OK:
2. Import a private key to Trust Wallet
1. If you already have an imported or created wallet in the Trust Wallet app and need to import another one using the seed phrase, go to “Settings”. To do this, open the Trust Wallet app and click on “Settings”:
If you are opening the Trust Wallet app for the first time, go straight to step 4 in this section.
2. Next, click on “Wallets”:
3. Click on “+” in the upper right corner to add a new wallet:
4. Click on “Create New Wallet”. If there is no second wallet and you want to create one, go to the first point — the creation process is the same:
5. Click on “Multi-Coin Wallet”:
6. In the “Phrase” field, insert the seed phrase from the wallet you want to import to Trust Wallet. The seed phrase consists of 12 or 24 words. Then click on “Import”.
Congratulations, the wallet has been successfully imported! Now click “Next” and then “OK” to finish:
7. The imported wallet is now displayed in Trust Wallet:
3. How to view your wallet’s seed phrase
1. Go to “Settings” and then click on “Wallets”:
2. Then click on “Expand menu” — the three dots as shown in the screenshot, or “i” if you have an iPhone:
3. Click on “Show Secret Phrase”.
Next, in the window that opens, check the “I accept all risks” box at the bottom of the page and click on “Continue.” A window with a secret phrase will open, click “Copy” and write the down the seed phrase on a piece of paper or save it in any other maximum secure way.
Remember that the phrase should not be given to anyone else under any circumstances!
4. Adding coins and tokens to your Trust Wallet
1. In the Trust Wallet app, open the wallet in which you want to add the display of the coins and/or tokens you want. Then click on the Slider icon in the upper right corner:
2. On the screen that opens, in the search box, type the name of the coin or token you want to add to the wallet. Next, you need to add the coin or token from the list of found results. To do this, slide the switch to the “ON” state, as shown in the screenshot:
3. You can also add a token for display manually using the token smart contract. To do this, open the wallet in which you want to add the display of the desired token in the Trust Wallet app. Then click on the Slider in the upper right corner. Swipe to the bottom of the screen that opens — the “Add Your Token” button will appear, click on it. If you have an iPhone, this button will be in the top left corner:
4. Next, enter in the “Contract Address” field the address of the smart token you want to add:

After adding the smart contract address, the wallet will add all data to the other fields automatically. After adding all the data, click on “Done”:
6. The USDT ERC-20 token has been successfully added and is now displayed in the wallet:
