PubMatic Appoints Emma Newman as the New UK Country Manager

PubMatic, an automation solutions provider for the digital media industry, has appointed Emma Newman, as its new Country Manager for the United Kingdom. Newman was the Vice President of International Marketing till now. As the Country Manager, Newman will be responsible for developing PubMatic's unique market approach and ensuring that their customers always benefit from their transparent, customer-first market approach. Newman will also support PubMatic in developing new publisher relationships that are focused on enhancing and monetizing mobile and video inventory and helping them steer through ad decisioning tools such as header bidding and wrapper tags. She will report to the Vice President of the EMEA region, Bill Swanson, and will continue to work out of the London office.

The UK is more advanced than other countries in the area of programmatic adoption and continues to be a key market for the company. A recent report stated that advertisers used £2.67 billion in 2016 for programmatic trading, and it is expected that over three-quarters of UK’s digital ad spend by the end of 2017 will be programmatic.

Swanson stated that he was happy that Newman would run the UK business. UK is at the forefront of programmatic's continued growth and evolution. Newman has proven her leadership skills and will continue to raise the bar with the UK team. He said that Newman was in sync with their clients and partners’ needs when she led international marketing at PubMatic. They are thrilled that she will carry those skills along with her deep product and client knowledge to her role as the Country Manager.

Newman joined PubMatic as a Senior Director of International Marketing in 2014. She quickly rose to be the position of Vice President in a year. Before joining PubMatic, Newman served as the Marketing Director at Clear Channel UK aka iHeartMedia, the Senior Director of UK Marketing at AOL, and Head of Business Excellence for Microsoft Advertising in the EMEA region.

Newman said that it is an honor to lead the PubMatic UK team as they help their partners and customers benefit from the opportunities that the continued evolution of programmatic offers. PubMatic is moving ahead by working with publishers to help them control their ad decisioning and by supporting partner advertisers as brand spend shifts to programmatic. Newman is thrilled to be a part of a gifted and dedicated team that looks to the best interests of their partners and customers.
